LeBron James shared his frustration about the Lakers‘ preseason schedule on X, asking why the team was flying to Milwaukee for one preseason game against the Bucks. In response to this, a fan on X responded hilariously by pointing out that air travel is the quickest way to get to Milwaukee rather than taking a bus, and the coaches were just trying to save James some time.

“Hey LeBron, it’s Greg. The reason for this is because if you were to drive there it would take over 29 hours so I’m guessing your coaches thought it would be more efficient to fly. Hope this helps.”

Of course, the fan was trolling James with an obvious explanation for why the team was flying to Milwaukee. He intentionally ignored the point of James’ original post, which was to share his frustration about their preseason schedule including just one game that they need to travel a long distance for before returning.

James was reportedly frustrated about the quick turnaround time the Lakers have to spend in traveling to Milwaukee before returning to the West Coast for their remaining preseason games.

The Lakers take on the Bucks in their third preseason game tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers are currently 0-2 in their preseason games against the Timberwolves and the Suns and will be hoping to turn things around tomorrow, as gathering some wins before the NBA season will be crucial for their momentum heading into the new season.

James was phenomenal in his first preseason game against the Suns, putting up 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in the first half of the game. The game against the Suns was also a momentous occasion as it marked the first time LeBron shared the court with his son Bronny as teammates on the Lakers.

Differing Fortunes For LeBron And Bronny In Preseason

While LeBron James impressed in his first preseason game with the Lakers, the same cannot be said for his son, Bronny James. Bronny played in both the Lakers’ preseason games so far against the Timberwolves and the Suns and didn’t have the easiest of nights on either occasion.

Against the Timberwolves, Bronny put up 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 3 blocks. While his defensive effort was impressive, him going 1-6 from the field was not ideal. His second game against the Suns was a worse night, as Bronny delivered 0 points, 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, and 0 blocks while having 4 turnovers and 3 fouls.

James was criticized by NBA fans for his performances, specifically the mistakes he made in the closing stretch of the games that cost the Lakers the win.

It is important to remember that Bronny James is a 20-year-old, second-round draft pick who is going to spend much of his time with the Lakers’ G-League team. So his performances are obviously not going immediately light up the scoreboard, and he is very much a work in progress.

Regardless of the struggles, no one can take away the moment of Bronny and LeBron playing as teammates away from them. LeBron himself admitted that he wouldn’t soon forget that moment. It will be even more special when fans get to see the father-son duo play together in an official NBA game.
