Kevin Durant has been subjected to a lot of criticism since the Brooklyn Nets got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Many believe that a player of Durant’s quality should not be swept under any circumstances, and especially not be allowed to play the way KD did. Durant’s legacy has been called into question by many, and one analyst thinks he isn’t a top-10 player of all time.

NBA analyst Nick Wright called out Zach Lowe for ‘flippantly’ calling Kevin Durant a top-10 NBA player of all time. Wright added that he has 14 players on his all-time list ahead of KD, including LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, ‘Dr. J’ Julius Erving, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan, Stephen Curry, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

I just heard my guy Zach Lowe also flippantly call KD “Top 10 all time.”

This is so insane! In no order, here’s 14 guys… Kareem, Magic, Michael, LeBron, Wilt, Russell, Duncan, Kobe, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq & Dr. J, Steph & Giannis. You’re putting KD ahead of FIVE OF THEM?!?

It should be noted that Nick Wright has been critical of Kevin Durant for a very long time. Many believe that Wright’s criticism of Durant is based on his admiration for LeBron James, whom he considers the greatest of all time, and Durant has been considered LeBron’s equal and rival in the league for many years. So it’s not surprising to see Wright be so critical of him.

We’ve done an article discussing whether Durant is actually a top-10 player of all time, which you can read here. But Durant has not been taking the criticism aimed at him lightly, going off on Charles Barkley yesterday morning on his Instagram. Despite Durant and the Nets getting eliminated, he is not going to accept extremely harsh criticism over his legacy and his accomplishments.
