Nikola Jokic On What He Was Going To Do In The Four Days After The All-Star Break: “Maybe Eat Bad.”

2 Min Read

Nikola Jokic has had a very good 2020/21 NBA season, taking the Denver Nuggets to compete in one of the most difficult seasons we’ve seen in recent years. Not only teams got better in the offseason but other factors make the competition even harder.

Still, The Joker has managed to keep playing great, being considered an MVP candidate and he can’t wait to treat himself after the All-Star break. Talking with reporters, Jokic was asked what are his plans for the next four days after the All-Star Game and his response was pretty simple.

He has been balling this season and deserves little rest. However, he needs to be careful with that if he wants to keep playing at the best level. He’s now a 3x All-Star and was really excited to see who he’s playing this Sunday in the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

The Serbian man needs to be careful if he doesn’t want to disappoint his strength coach, Felipe Eichenberg. Recently, he revealed that making Eichenberg proud was very important for him and he doesn’t want to eat bad things because of him.

“I don’t want to eat bad just because I know it’s not just me,” Jokic told The Denver Post. “It’s him, too. I don’t want to disappoint him.”

“He’s my family,” Jokic said. “I’m really honest with him. He understands me. He knows when I’m lying. It’s funny. … We’re not hiding nothing from each other.”

Well, it’s unclear what Jokic is going to do now, and if Eichenberg will agree with those plans he has. Jokic is ready to turn things around for the Nuggets and take them to the next level, although not everybody thinks he’s deserving of the 2021 MVP award.
