Even though the Denver Nuggets are the number one seed in the Western Conference, most believed that the Phoenix Suns will not have an issue in defeating them in the second round of the playoffs.

But Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets have lived up to the expectations that the fans set for them. Jokic was unbelievable in the Game 2 win over the Suns. After the matchup, the Joker enjoyed a wholesome moment with his wife and daughter, who were in the arena showing full support to him.

Jokic’s daughter was adorably pointing at her ring finger after the win. The two-time NBA MVP returned the gesture with a huge smile on his face.

It’s great to see one of the best players in the NBA enjoy some quality time with his family after dropping 39 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists on a star-studded Suns team.

Nikola Jokic On Facing The Phoenix Suns

After adding Kevin Durant to the roster, the Phoenix Suns instantly became the favorites to win the 2023 NBA Championship.

Apart from Durant, the Suns have Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton on the roster as well. Keeping that in mind, most fans expected the Suns to easily clinch the series vs. the Nuggets.

Prior to the Western Conference Semifinals started, even Jokic applauded his opponents. The Serbian star admitted that the Suns are the favorites to win the title this season.

“Probably, they are the favorites to win the championship. They have an amazing group of guys. Well-coached. There is Chris Paul, who is probably the best floor general in the game. Booker and KD are superstars, arguably the best players in the NBA right now. It’s a very big challenge for us.”

Although Jokic said it’s a big challenge for the Nuggets, so far, they haven’t had any issues in dealing with the so-called championship favorites.

But it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Suns make a comeback in the series in the upcoming games. After all, Game 3 of the showdown between the two sides will be played in Phoenix.
