The importance of veterans on the roster can never be underestimated. Jeff Green is just one of those players who fulfill that role for the Denver Nuggets.

Speaking of Green, he was part of a hilarious conversation with Nuggets rookie Collin Gillespie. Green asked Gillespie to move out of his spot on the sidelines, and the rookie’s hysterical response made the veteran forward feel old.

Jeff Green: “Move out of my spot.”

Collin Gillespie: “Sorry, Dad.”

Green is currently 36 years old and is one of the oldest players on the Nuggets roster. Evidently, he expects to be treated with respect by the young players of the team.

But it’s safe to say Gillespie took things further than required. Either way, it’s great to see that the Nuggets have built an environment where players can joke around with each other, regardless of their age difference.

The Denver Nuggets Dominated The Phoenix Suns In Game 2

The Denver Nuggets finished the 2022-23 NBA season with a 53-29 record, the best in the Western Conference. It’s obvious that the team is talented and one of the favorites to advance to the NBA Finals this season.

However, playing against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals looked like a huge challenge, even for the number one seed.

Despite many doubting the potential of the team, Nikola Jokic has led the Nuggets to a 2-0 lead over the heavily-favored Suns in the series.

In Game 2, Jokic recorded 39 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists. Upon seeing the dominant performance from Jokic, many fans even crowned him the real MVP of the season.

But the job is not done yet. The Suns have dangerous players in Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, who can still carry the team to a famous comeback in the series. It will be exciting to see if the Nuggets can hold onto their lead or if the fans will witness another upset in the playoffs.
