Dillon Brooks has been under fire since the Memphis Grizzlies won Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers to tie their first-round series with one win per team.

Ever since he called out LeBron James, his performances have been terrible, but Brooks isn’t giving up, and recently vowed to come out of nowhere to help his team change the fate of a game.

“It’s been challenging,” Brooks said about his struggles, via Yahoo Sports. “I’m used to a certain standard from myself, but I just stay with it and one of these games I’m going to break out for three or four threes and change the game.”

This came after he dropped only 8 points on the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. While the rest of the team did whatever they wanted to score on the Purple and Gold, Brooks was an obstacle for them.

Brooks finished the game minus-7, and after Taylor Jenkins subbed him out in the third quarter, the Grizzlies took off and dominated the Lakers. He talked a lot about LeBron and all the things the King ‘can’t do’ against him, but the one struggling in this series is Brooks.

All his comments backfired pretty quickly and if he doesn’t make a statement in Game 6, even if the Grizzlies force the seventh game of the series, he will be on the receiving end of criticism once again.

Draymond Green Keeps Taking Shots At Dillon Brooks

Meanwhile, he keeps getting shots from around the league. Draymond Green hasn’t forgotten about his beef with Brooks and recently said that being a villain isn’t for everybody, but he’ll never duck any smoke, unlike Brooks, who simply ran away when things started getting hard for him.

Game 6 will be crucial for the Grizzlies, and they will need Brooks to step up if they want to return to FedEx Forum to close out this intense series.
