“Pat Bev Said The Next 5 Years Are Mine And Got Traded 5 Times”: NBA Fan Roasts Patrick Beverley After He Was Traded To The Jazz

4 Min Read

Patrick Beverley certainly hasn’t won over a lot of people over the years, thanks to his antics. He is one of those guys who are loved by fans of the team he is on, but pretty much everyone else tends to dislike him.

So, when news broke out that he was traded for the second offseason in a row in a deal that sent Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves, a fan took a hilarious shot at Bev for a previous remark he supposedly made at Stephen Curry in 2019, when he told him “the next 5 years are mine”.

While the joke was a bit off the mark, as Bev hasn’t been traded 5 times, it still left NBA Twitter in splits.

“THIS TWEET IS HITTING FROM WAAAAY DOWNTOWN “

“Pat Beverly spent two full shows on First Take disrespecting CP3 and today his own team traded him along with several other players for 1 man. “

“Minisoda had that mane thinking he was the face of the franchise.”

“Let’s give it up for everyone’s favorite underdog “

“pat bev a certified bum”

“The day is still early. Might be a 6th trade.”

“Been running his mouth to much on t.v so he got sent to NBA wasteland”

“He’s getting moved around like the role player he is. It really wouldn’t be news if the nba community didn’t find him so annoying”

“cause he is a joke!! only espn is hyping this dude head up”

” @patbev21 might be the biggest clown in league history”

“Hard to believe this guy gets so much press!”

“Bench players talking like starters I hate it”

“Haven’t laughed this much in a looong time “

” basketball twitter never forgets”

“No this really mad funny he CRIED TEARRRRS after advancing…but not even to the finals yall”

” it was a boss quote at the time .. stupid, but boss”

“He’ll always have that play
-in championship though”

“Hahahaha. And Steph just won his 4th ring. Yah. Next 5 years was his “

“I’m sorry but this is too funny not to laugh at he really did lmfao”

“Yeah you a fool for that quote Pat “

When you talk as much trash as he does to go with all his antics on the court, it’s not a surprise to see so many people having fun at your expense. For his part, Bev put on an optimistic front on Twitter, as he reacted to the news by stating it was time to take another team to the playoffs.

He has made the playoffs every season bar 2017-18 when he was injured for a majority of the campaign and that record is going to be at risk if the Jazz opt for a rebuild and trade Donovan Mitchell on the back of Gobert’s departure. Only one thing is for sure, though, and that is Beverley is going to run his mouth regardless of what happens next.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
