Day 1 saw super max deals handed out to Nikola Jokic, Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Bradley Beal, while Ja Morant signed his designated rookie extension.

As we said before, we saw a few prominent bigs get extensions with their teams, but the biggest name is still in the market as there is still no news on DeAndre Ayton’s future. The Indiana Pacers, by virtue of trading Malcolm Brogdon to the Celtics, have now cleared up enough cap to offer someone a max deal, and we wait and see if Ayton is the one for them.

There are also no updates on the James Harden front, but he is expected to return to the Sixers on a less than max deal to help the team fill out the rest of the roster. Another action-packed day awaits us tomorrow.
