The Chicago Bulls have completed step one of advancing to the playoffs from the play-in tournament after defeating the Toronto Raptors Tuesday night.
It was a neck-to-neck game that could have gone either way, but as per Patrick Beverley, the Raptors never had a chance. So much so that the veteran point guard decided to call out Raptors GM Bobby Webster after the game.

Patrick Beverley is known for his antics both on and off the court. Beverley’s trash talk against the Raptors was one of the prime examples of it.
Despite the game ending at 109-105, Pat Bev made it sound like the Bulls registered a blowout win over the Raptors. As for Beverley, he recorded just 3 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block in the win.
The Chicago Bulls Have Turned Their Season Around
With the core of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, many expected the Bulls to be dark horse contenders for the 2023 NBA Championship in the Eastern Conference.
Unfortunately, the Bulls failed to live up to those expectations for most of the season. But since adding Patrick Beverley to the roster, the Bulls have found new energy to compete this season.
So much so that they are now looking like a legitimate threat to the Miami Heat in their upcoming play-in tournament game. The Bulls finished the season with a 40-42 record and were the 10th seed in the conference.
Following the momentum from a stunning victory over the Raptors, the Bulls may end up upsetting the Miami Heat. Either way, it will be an exciting matchup for fans as it will determine which team will get the final spot in the 2023 NBA playoffs from the East.
