An NBA player’s job is to excel on the court. But with the status that these players achieve and the platforms they have, everything about their identity gets analyzed to the smallest degree.

NBA players want to look good, and Jalen Rose recently said that every man should spend at least $100 on haircuts. Paul George reacted to the take by revealing he spends double that amount.

“I think so. You should give your barber $100. That’s a lot on the barber to be on his feet. A cut is like an hour, an hour and a half. I pay my barber well. $200, I give my barber $200. The least you can do is a $100.”

What $100 is to an NBA player, especially PG13 on his $42.4 million contract this season, is not the same to people working regular jobs. They have enough disposable income to afford it. Not to mention, NBA players are always surrounded by cameras, so looking sharp is basically a job requirement for them. Especially if they want to magnify their success off the court.

Paul George Needs To Lead The Clippers

Paul George is slowly showing that he can be the vocal on-court leader that the Clippers need. He did it admirably last season in Kawhi Leonard’s absence and probably would’ve led the squad to the playoffs if he hadn’t gotten hurt. With the Clippers 1-5 in their last 6 games, the onus of carrying the franchise back into a top-6 seed should fall on PG13.

Kawhi Leonard has proven to be unreliable in terms of playing heavy minutes in multiple games. Russell Westbrook isn’t a good enough option anymore to be a leader on the court, so George needs to start leading by example. He’s having a solid year, being nominated as an All-Star while averaging 23.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists this season.
