Paul George Will Reportedly Play In Drew League For The First Time Since 2014

Paul George had a rocky 2021/22 NBA season, missing much of the regular season action due to an elbow injury. While he played 5 of the last 7 regular season games, it is safe to say that George did not look in the best of forms returning from the injury.

With the offseason on, it seems like PG13 has fully recovered and is pretty eager to get on the court. Given how the Drew League has been a place for multiple players to put some reps in, the Clippers superstar is the latest name in the star-studded list of players.

Joining the likes of LeBron James, DeMar DeRozan, and Trae Young, PG13 is set to participate in the Drew League game tonight. According to the latest reports, this will be the first Drew League experience for PG in 8 years.

This is certainly a great way to put in the reps for someone like George. Given that he is coming back from a campaign where he missed multiple games, these Drew League matchups will help him regain his form ahead of a long season.

The 2022-23 season, meanwhile, will be a make-or-break season for the Los Angeles Clippers. It has been 3 years since the team brought in Kawhi Leonard and George. While their neighbors, the Los Angeles Lakers, have already captured a title, the best the Clippers have finished is in a Conference Finals spot in 2021.

Given that Leonard is finally back along with PG13, the Clippers should be a force to be reckoned with. Not only are the two superstars key, but they also have an extremely deep rotation in their team. The Golden State Warriors might be the best team in the NBA right now, but if the Clippers can fire at all cylinders, things might drastically change next season. Can PG13 and Kawhi lead the Clippers?
