Dunking is an art, and while NBA players are the ones regularly doing it, that doesn’t mean other people in the world aren’t great at it too.

Piotr Grabowski is a Polish professional 3 vs. 3 basketball player and dunker. And in a Dunk Contest that was graced by the presence of the brightest young NBA stars, he pulled off a stunning between-the-legs dunk while jumping over Zion Williamson.

Grabowski was wearing a New Orleans Pelicans jersey with Zion Williamson’s name on it when he did it, which is what makes it so much cooler. Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum were on the judges’ panel and they did not doubt in their minds, giving the dunk a score of 10.

This took place at the Quai 54 World Streetball Championship in Paris. The tournament has 16 teams involved from 10 nations across the world and claims to be the highest level of streetball in the world. The presence of superstars like Zion, Luka, and Tatum lends credence to that, as does the stellar dunking on display.

The NBA Dunk Contest has been losing its shine recently with a lack of participation from the game’s biggest stars. Hopefully, this will motivate some of the best young players to up their game if non-NBA players are putting up dunks like these. Zion Williamson is one of the players that fans would want to see dunking in a setting like this, so hopefully this leads to that happening.

Zion Williamson Has Hinted He Could Do The 2024 NBA Dunk Contest

Zion Williamson has endured a PR nightmare this offseason thanks to the whole Moriah Mills fiasco. Getting healthy and playing next season will be the first step toward making that better. But being in the Dunk Contest might additionally give him some more good PR. And Williamson has already hinted that he might do it in 2024

“I think about it. I put heavy consideration into doing the Dunk Contest. I feel like If I’m gonna do it, I’ll probably do it next year.”

It would be amazing to see the league’s brightest stars getting back into the Dunk Contest and it is bound to happen if Williamson leads the charge. He might find it hard to top the stuff Grabowski did but it will surely be something explosive if he does do it.
