Reggie Miller’s Sons Uses His Father Iconic ‘Choke Sign’ To Decorate 8th Birthday Cake

Reggie Miller’s son couldn’t make his father prouder during his 8th birthday. The kid paid homage to the Indiana Pacers legend with the cake, picking one of the most iconic moments in Reggie’s career.

The sharpshooter took to Instagram to share a series of pictures and videos of his son Ryker. The boy made a terrific choice, celebrating his birthday (and his father) in a big fashion.

Via Dana Hunsinger of The Indy Star:

Reggie Miller’s son was given all sorts of choices for his eighth-birthday cake. He went with the classic “dad with hands around the neck giving the choke sign” design.

Classic, of course, only if your dad is the one who made that sign.

Miller posted to Instagram Sunday photos of 8-year-old Ryker and his cake — a Pacers blue and gold Nike shoe box with a basketball shoe atop emblazoned with an image of Miller giving the choke sign.

Reggie couldn’t be happier with this. He dedicated some words to his son on Instagram, showing his excitement with the cake.

This was a nice gesture from Ryker. It shows how much he admires his father. In case you don’t know where that choke sign comes from, on June 1, 1994, Miller went off on his nemesis New York Knicks, dropping 25 points in the 4th quarter of a game.

The Knickerbockers entered the last period with a 12-point advantage over the Pacers. Miller dropped 25 of his 39 points in the 4th, winning the game for Indiana. He mocked movie director Spike Lee with the choke sign as the Pacers took a 93-86 victory and take a 3-2 lead in the series.

That moment is still unforgettable, more so after you learn that Ryker loves that moment for his father.
