Christian Wood has made headlines recently and not for the best reasons. The Houston Rockets player accidentally hit a fan in the head with a bad pass, which didn’t sit well with the ‘victim.’

During a recent Rockets-Hornets game, Wood missed a pass, throwing the ball into the stands, accidentally hitting a fan in the head. The fan, Isabella Fitz, had to leave the arena after the impact. Following the incident, Wood shared an Instagram story making fun of himself for missing that pass, adding a laughing emoji to the caption.

Fitz took offense to that, believing Wood was making fun of her. The lady demanded a direct apology from Christian, even after he offered him tickets to any Rockets game.

Isabella Fitz: He put the laughing emoji and said “happens to the best of us”. By no means was that appropriate.

Isabella wasn’t the only one offended in this situation. Robert Covington also reacted to the message from the girl, making it clear Wood didn’t mean any harm with his comments.

“Girl sit down you lucky he offered you tickets. That emoji had nothing to do with you,” the Portland Trail Blazers wrote on an Instagram post.

This situation seemed like an unfortunate basketball moment, but Fitz didn’t see it that way. Now she’s looking for more, trying to force Wood to issue an apology after a bad pass, which can happen to anyone in the league.

Christian offered tickets to her, trying to make it up for the hit, but she’s wants more. Meanwhile, the player is trying to help a young Rockets team win some games this season. What started as a terrible season has changed a little bit, but they’re still far away from contention.

Houston boasts a 10-25 record, ranking 15th in the Western Conference, experiencing more emotions off the court than on it.
