With the 2022 NBA All-Star Game being held in Cleveland this year, there was a lot of anticipation about the return of LeBron James. James, who is a native of Akron, Ohio, just a few miles out of Cleveland, played for the franchise for 11 years across 2 stints. And he helped bring the franchise its only NBA championship in history.

During his press interactions at All-Star weekend, LeBron James seemingly suggested that he would be open to a return to Cleveland. Many fans speculated that this is because of the exciting young team the franchise has built there since his departure in 2018.

And it appears the rumors of LeBron James possibly returning to Cleveland have been furthered, thanks to an Instagram story by his wife Savannah. Savannah James posted a story of Akron, Ohio on her Instagram, with the caption ‘there’s no place like home’, a move that has fueled the rumor mill for a potential LeBron return.

At first glance, there is not a lot to this. After all, Savannah is also from Akron, having grown up in the city and meeting LeBron James there as high school kids. But given the timing of the post, the rumors of LeBron possibly returning to the franchise have been boosted. Jalen Rose even suggested to LeBron James that he should return to the franchise to win another NBA championship.

Any move to the Cavaliers will have to wait, as Shams Charania reported that LeBron James is locked in with the Lakers for the foreseeable future, and will not be leaving them anytime soon. On top of that, James would not settle for anything less than the max contract, given that he is still playing at a high level. But given the history between LeBron and Cleveland, there is cause for excitement among Cavaliers fans.
