All-NBA First Team

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

2024-25 Season Stats: 30.6 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 6.1 APG, 2.0 SPG, 1.1 BPG

Team Record: 23-5

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has cemented himself as the heartbeat of the Thunder’s surging performances, delivering nightly masterclasses in scoring and playmaking. OKC’s strong record as the top seed in the West is a direct reflection of Shai’s ability to elevate everyone around him and his raw presence is undeniable at this point.

His improved defense adds even more value, as he disrupts passing lanes and defends with discipline. There’s no debate: Shai is one of the most unstoppable players in the league this season and is firmly in the MVP conversation because of it.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic

2024-25 Season Stats: 28.8 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 8.1 APG, 2.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG

Team Record: 19-10

Luka Doncic is putting up numbers so absurd it feels like he’s gaming the system, yet this is his reality. His offensive brilliance is the Mavericks‘ entire identity, blending wizard-like passing with effortless scoring from everywhere on the floor. Dallas has returned from last year’s impressive Finals run, thanks to Luka’s leadership and versatility.

The way he controls the tempo is masterful, dragging defenders into his world and picking them apart. His defense is passable, but with his usage rate and production, you almost don’t care. Luka isn’t just making an All-NBA case—he’s reminding us he’s in the MVP conversation once again.

Jayson Tatum

2024-25 Season Stats: 28.8 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 5.7 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.5 BPG

Team Record: 22-7

Jayson Tatum has finally mastered the art of balancing volume and efficiency this season, spearheading the Celtics to the second-best record in the Eastern Conference. Whether it’s his lethal step-back three or his polished mid-range game, he’s a walking bucket from anywhere on the floor but it’s his all-around game that has been most impressive.

His defensive impact can’t go unnoticed, as he frequently takes on the opposing team’s best wings. Tatum’s playmaking has also taken a step forward, seamlessly facilitating when the double teams come. His rebounding has been exceptional as well, posting a career-high 9.3 per game. Simply put, Tatum is the backbone of Boston’s title hopes once again this season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (34) reacts after the Bucks defeated the Orlando Magic at Fiserv Forum.

2024-25 Season Stats: 32.7 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 6.0 APG, 0.7 SPG, 1.5 BPG

Team Record: 16-12

The Bucks‘ dominance is once again powered by Giannis’ unstoppable two-way game. He’s a freight train in transition, a relentless attacker in the halfcourt, and a rim protector who alters shots without mercy. His scoring might not always look pretty, but it’s absurdly effective because he is the game’s leading scorer, and his assists highlight his underrated basketball IQ.

Milwaukee has stayed in a playoff spot in the East (5th seed) despite a horrific start to the season, and that’s largely due to Giannis’ consistency and motor. Even in a loaded MVP race, his case is undeniable as the most physically dominant two-way player in the league. Giannis makes the extraordinary seem routine, and this season is no exception once again.

Nikola Jokic

2024-25 Season Stats: 30.9 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 9.7 APG, 1.7 SPG, 0.7 BPG

Team Record: 16-11

Nikola Jokic continues to make basketball look like a game of chess while everyone else is playing checkers. He’s averaging a near triple-double as the orchestrator of the Nuggets’ offense, throwing no-look dimes and hitting ridiculous floaters with ease. Denver’s position in the West (despite a lackluster supporting cast at times) is a testament to his leadership and ability to make everyone around him better.

His defensive effort has improved as well, with solid positioning and rebounding anchoring their interior. Jokic’s efficiency borders on video game levels and his knack for making the right play every time is mind-boggling. There’s no question he’s the best center in the league right now and the favorite for his fourth MVP award in five years.

All-NBA Second Team

Trae Young

Trae Young

2024-25 Season Stats: 21.8 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 12.0 APG, 1.3 SPG, 0.1 BPG

Team Record: 15-15

Trae Young has bounced back in a big way, silencing critics with his improved leadership despite being swamped in trade rumors to start the season. Despite the impressive seasons from Jalen Johnson and De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta’s offense revolves around his ability to dissect defenses with pinpoint passing and deep shooting range. His pick-and-roll chemistry with his co-stars has been deadly, keeping the Hawks competitive in the East.

Sure, defense is still an issue for Young, but he’s upped his effort and made strides in positioning. Trae’s ability to create offense out of nothing remains elite, and his late-game execution has won Atlanta key games. While the Hawks’ record isn’t perfect, Trae has been a consistent bright spot and also the most clutch player in the league.

LaMelo Ball

2024-25 Season Stats: 30.0 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 7.5 APG, 1.3 SPG, 0.2 BPG

Team Record: 7-22

LaMelo’s play this season is a blend of flair and substance, as he’s the only bright spot for the Hornets. He’s a walking highlight reel, whether it’s with his no-look passes or deep-range threes. Beyond the flash, his offensive dominance has improved, making him a more reliable engine for the Hornets’ offense. Somehow, Ball has developed into one of the game’s best scorers this season despite being an excellent passer.

Not to mention, his rebounding and size at the guard spot give Charlotte an edge in transition. LaMelo’s leadership has kept the Hornets in the playoffs despite a lack of support from most of his teammates. LaMelo Ball has become more than a showman—he’s becoming a true franchise cornerstone.

Anthony Davis

2024-25 Season Stats: 26.6 PPG, 11.8 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.3 SPG, 2.2 BPG

Team Record: 16-13

Anthony Davis has been the Lakers’ anchor on both ends, dominating the paint like few others in the league. His rim protection is elite, and his ability to switch onto guards has been critical in L.A.’s defensive schemes. Offensively, he’s been a monster, bullying opponents inside and showing a polished mid-range game.

The Lakers’ record may be inconsistent, but Davis has been their rock in high-stakes moments. If durability weren’t a question, he’d be in the MVP conversation, given his impact every night he’s on the floor. This season, AD has reminded everyone why he’s still one of the league’s best bigs and coach JJ Redick deserves credit for helping the superstar get back to his elite best.

Karl-Anthony Towns

2024-25 Season Stats: 24.7 PPG, 13.9 RPG, 3.6 APG, 0.9 SPG, 1.0 BPG

Team Record: 19-10

Karl-Anthony Towns’ resurgence has been a huge factor in the Knicks’ strong season. His versatile scoring—whether it’s from three, the post, or off the dribble—has made him a matchup nightmare and Knicks fans are relishing his presence right now. He’s also embraced more defensive responsibility, showing improved awareness and positioning.

Towns’ chemistry with co-stars such as Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby has elevated New York’s offense to another level. Leading the NBA in rebounds per game and shooting a ridiculous 45.6% from three, Towns is having the best season of his career in terms of raw impact and Timberwolves fans are wishing their franchise’s decision to trade him this summer never materialized.

Victor Wembanyama

2024-25 Season Stats: 24.8 PPG, 9.9 RPG, 3.9 APG, 1.1 SPG, 4.0 BPG

Team Record: 15-14

Victor Wembanyama has lived up to the hype in his second season and then some, showcasing a skill set that’s redefining what a big man can do. His shot-blocking is generational because he is on track to lead the league in blocks for the second straight season, and his ability to stretch the floor on offense is unfair for someone his size.

The Spurs may not be contenders yet, but Victor’s impact on both ends is undeniable as the team is showing improvement on both ends of the court. Wembanyama is already hitting clutch shots and altering entire defensive schemes with his presence. The poise he’s shown as a rookie is staggering, and he’s already the face of San Antonio’s rebuild. Wemby isn’t just good for a 20-year-old—he’s All-NBA good.

All-NBA Third Team

De’Aaron Fox

De'Aaron Fox Slams Referees For Their Controversial Late-Game Calls In Close Lakers Loss

2024-25 Season Stats: 26.2 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 6.2 APG, 1.6 SPG, 0.3 BPG

Team Record: 13-17

The lone bright spot on a very disappointing season for the Sacramento Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been the definition of consistency, consistently delivering in nearly every game to keep the Kings in the playoff hunt. His speed and ability to attack the rim are unmatched, making him nearly impossible to guard in transition.

Sacramento’s offense thrives because of his relentless aggression and improved playmaking. His leadership on a young team has been instrumental, as he’s stepped up in key moments. The Kings’ record isn’t elite and DeMar DeRozan’s fit has not been great, but without Fox, the team’s record would be far worse. Fox is proving once again that he’s one of the most underrated guards in the league.

Anthony Edwards

2024-25 Season Stats: 25.3 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.4 SPG, 0.6 BPG

Team Record: 14-14

Anthony Edwards has embraced the challenge of being the Timberwolves‘ alpha with Karl-Anthony Towns gone for good, showcasing his two-way dominance night after night. His scoring is electric, whether he’s attacking the rim with authority or hitting tough jumpers. He has also impressed with efficiency, nailing 41.4% from three and being one of the game’s best shooters this season.

Defensively, he’s also taken a leap, using his athleticism to hound opposing wings. The Timberwolves’ goal of being a contender this season is tied directly to his ability to lead in big moments. His swagger and confidence are infectious, elevating everyone around him. The Timberwolves’ record has not been great, but without Edwards, they would be in the lottery.

LeBron James

Dec 21, 2024; Sacramento, California, USA; Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23) calls out to his team mates during the fourth quarter of the game against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center. Mandatory Credit: Ed Szczepanski-Imagn Images

2024-25 Season Stats: 23.2 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 9.0 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.6 BPG

Team Record: 16-13

LeBron James’ scoring has taken a dip this season but his all-around impact has been sensational. The King is a triple-double machine, ranking second in the season behind Nikola Jokic in terms of total triple-doubles, and he is the driving force for the Lakers alongside Anthony Davis. Even as he approaches 40 years old in a few days, James is arguably a top-10 player in terms of impact.

If the Lakers can hold onto a playoff spot, James has a great chance to make his 21st All-NBA Team selection. We have never seen a player be as great for as long as James has, but the ultimate goal for The King would be to win his 5th NBA championship rather than breaking more regular season records.

Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley

2024-25 Season Stats: 18.5 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.1 SPG, 1.5 BPG

Team Record: 26-4

Evan Mobley has become the Cavaliers‘ most consistent two-way player, anchoring the best team in the Eastern Conference with his versatility. He can guard anyone from centers to wings, making him a matchup nightmare for opponents. Offensively, he’s stepped up as a secondary scorer, showing more aggression and polish in the post.

Mobely’s rebounding has been crucial in securing extra possessions and closing out defensive stops. The Cavs’ solid record owes much to Mobley’s ability to impact the game without needing plays called for him. He’s the glue that holds Cleveland’s lineup together and is the first player who truly deserves an All-NBA nod although he has stiff competition from Donovan Mitchell as well.

Alperen Sengun

Nov 22, 2024; Houston, Texas, USA; Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (28) against the Portland Trailblazers during the game at Toyota Center. Mandatory Credit: Erik Williams-Imagn Images

2024-25 Season Stats: 18.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 5.2 APG, 1.2 SPG, 1.0 BPG

Team Record: 20-9

Did anybody predict the Houston Rockets would hold the second seed in the West this season? Alperen Sengun’s exceptional season has been a revelation, with his blend of passing, scoring, and creativity making Houston relevant again. His footwork in the post is exquisite, and his vision as a playmaker gives the Rockets an offensive identity.

Defensively, he’s still a work in progress, but his effort on that end and rebounding have been crucial. The Rockets’ improvement this season is directly tied to Sengun’s ability to operate as their offensive hub. He’s drawing comparisons to Jokic for a reason, and his development has been a must-watch. Sengun is no longer a player with potential – he’s a franchise cornerstone.
