Shannon Sharpe asked a very interesting question regarding Kawhi Leonard’s status in the NBA. The Los Angeles Clippers player has been subjected to criticism after failing to lead his team to the Western Conference Finals last season, blowing a 3-1 lead in the process.

This season, the Clippers were overlooked after their 2020 collapse. Still, now that the playoffs have arrived, the attention is once again on them. They reportedly did everything to avoid the Los Angeles Lakers until the WCF. Yet, Luka Doncic is already making life hard for them in the first round of the postseason.

After the Dallas Mavericks took a 3-2 lead on Wednesday night, Sharpe took to Twitter to raise a question about Leonard’s inability to lead this Clippers team to the promised land and his legacy.

“Quick question, when is Kawhi’s legacy going to be on the line, 7-19 from the floor, 1-7 from 3, air balled gm tying 3. Clippers, had a chance to take a 3-2 lead? Plus, y’all know what he did last summer up 3-1 with double digit leads in gms 5-7. Are we going to talk about it?”

Leonard and the Clips had plenty of chances to take this lead, but they blew them. The Klaw had the last chance to tie the game with a corner 3 that he air-balled.

The team is in a difficult position after this game. They need to win two straight games against Dallas to keep their title hopes alive. Leonard is facing the biggest challenge of his career; he needs to step up and show up for his team.
