Shaquille O’Neal Admits Who Is The Celebrity He Wouldn’t Like To Meet In A First Date

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal is way more than just a former basketball player. While he is most remembered for being the incredible athlete that he was, in the decade since Shaq has retired from the NBA, he has built a very successful career beyond basketball for himself.

O’Neal is a successful businessman and is a TV personality with TNT, appearing on multiple shows for the network. Despite all of this, Shaq doesn’t stop and has his own personal podcast known as ‘The Big Podcast’. On a recent episode, Shaq discussed winning an Oscar for ‘Dear Basketball’, the Will Smith-Chris Rock slap, but ended the conversation on a light note.

The co-host of the podcast, Nischelle Turner asked Shaq to share dating tips when Shaq decided to talk about the one famous person he won’t date. While he was reluctant to take her name at the start, ‘Big Diesel’ finally relented and revealed who this famous actor was.

“Oh yes. I love Regina Hall. Hi Regina.”

While that was an underwhelming reveal, it does make sense. Shaq and Regina were a part of ‘Scary Movie 4’, a parody movie series of major horror films. Regina was playing the role of the co-lead named ‘Brenda’.

She has previously been involved in basketball movies as well, with one of her first movie appearances coming in Spike Lee’s ‘Love & Basketball’.

Shaq had a hilarious cameo in Scary Movie 4. While still a member of the Miami Heat, Shaq appears in the opening scene of the movie alongside Dr. Phil.

Shaq is required to make a free throw to help him and Dr. Phil escape from a room where Saw has them trapped. The scene has no consequence on the movie, but was an incredibly fun one, as Shaq misses various attempts to make the free throw before succeeding in the end.
