Shaquille O’Neal Didn’t Know Siakam’s First Name Was “Pascal”: “No, I Got My Eyes On Siakam.”

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal just learned Pascal Siakam’s first name on Thursday, while the big man was having a terrific game against the Milwaukee Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Raptors ended up winning the game, 96-110 at Fiserv Forum behind Pascal’s 27 points and Norman Powell’s 29.

Even though he played great and was having a terrific game at halftime, that wasn’t the most curious or interesting thing about him yesterday. In fact, it was Shaq not knowing his first name, but making it clear he was paying attention to his performance against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co. The Raptors finished the first half with a 17-point lead and when the 4x NBA champion was asked about ‘Pascal’ performances, he didn’t know who Ernie Johnson was talking about.

Ernie: “You got your eyes on Pascal?”

Shaq: “Nah, I got my eyes on Siakam.”

After that, he revealed it was the first time he heard Siakam’s first name. After winning a championship and the MIP award, one would imagine that Shaq would remember the man’s name. He’s pretty good at basketball and even last season, when he received a lot of criticism, he should have known that the Raptors’ star first name was ‘Pascal’.

Well, that’s Shaq going at it again. Sometimes he attacks big men, sometimes he praises them but forgets their names. A total character.
