Shaquille O’Neal Explains How He Would Escape From The NBA Bubble

2 Min Read

It’s pretty clear that some old-school basketball players could never be in the bubble. They were ruthless back in the day, and there wasn’t a way that you could keep the greatest competitors, trash-talkers, and physical bullies in check for four months.

Kevin Garnett even said that there would be no way on earth that the NBA could have pulled that off back in the day, claiming that players would be walking around naked and that they’d most likely get physical once they saw their rivals in the lobby.

Unsurprisingly, Lakers’ legend Shaquille ONeal actually kind of agreed with The Big Ticket, and even went on record on Jimmy Kimmel’s show to explain how would he manage to escape from the bubble if he were still playing in the NBA:

“Oh, am I a single man? What I would have done was uh I would have spread some of the cash around to the maids not to be with the maid but to retrieve a uniform. Now when I retrieve the uniform I will go out late at night and look for Disney fencing that had some loopholes. I’ll take my pliers and I would cut it and leave a little opening and I will leave the maid dress on the side,” Shaq said.

Shaq is well known for his antics. He’s a hilarious, smart man that’s often making the most of the opportunity to get a laugh at his own expense. The funniest part about this is that, even though we know he’s joking, we also know that he’s capable of actually trying to pull that off, just for fun.

All jokes aside, the NBA, the staff, and the players have done an incredible job at pulling this off. There was a lot of skepticism about the bubble and rightfully so, so kudos to them for this unprecedented effort.
