Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest big men in NBA history. Shaq used his incredible size, strength, and speed to dominate the NBA for almost 20 years.

For his performances, Shaq was able to reach 6 NBA Finals, win 4 NBA championships, and won an MVP as well.

Most fans and analysts consider Shaq to be the most dominant player in NBA history. When O’Neal wanted to do something on the court, almost no one would be able to stop him. The only thing that ever stood in the way of Shaq was Shaq himself.

O’Neal was a beat on the offensive and the defensive end of the floor. There was no player who could contain Shaq for an entire game, nor could they get the better of him defensively for the entire game.

O’Neal is one of the tallest players to play in the NBA. But how does he compare to the tallest man in history?

Shaq posted a picture with a life-sized model of the tallest man in world history, Robert Wadlow. The American man was listed at 8 ft 11 in (2.72 m). The reason behind his size was hypertrophy of his pituitary gland. At the end of his death, people weren’t sure that he had stopped growing. Sadly, Wadlow died at the age of 22.

O’Neal fell short compared to him but was much closer to his height as opposed to the average NBA player. But in classic Shaq fashion, he did claim that he would have a solid game against the tallest man ever if he played basketball, and would have dominated against him despite his weak free throw abilities.

“Me and the tallest man in the world, I still woulda had 40 points, 19 rebounds, and 5 blocks and I woulda missed 10 outta 22 free throws lol”

Shaq was truly a juggernaut in the game and dominated in a way that very few have been able to since his retirement. For many fans, O’Neal is the greatest center in NBA history, because of how much of a force he was during his career.
