Shaquille O’Neal shared an interesting piece of advice to all men on The Big Podcast with Shaq. When discussing relationships, O’Neal explained why a man should never open up to a woman.

“Open up to a woman? Never,” O’Neal said. “… Because once you do, whenever something go down, they’re gonna throw it back in your face. That’s why. So, you can’t ever.”

(starts at 0:47 mark):

O’Neal unfortunately seems to have had some experience with that, which has shaped his opinion on the matter. Ultimately, I think anyone, whether man or woman, won’t hesitate to throw something back at you if times get rough enough. It is just the way human beings are.

Exceptions exist, of course, but those kinds of individuals are not very easily found. At the end of the day, you just have to be very careful about what kind of person you are opening up to.

Shaquille O’Neal Revealed He Blew Relationships With Two Perfect Women

O’Neal has been in a fair few relationships over the years, and the two earliest ones we know of were with Arnetta Yardbourgh and Shaunie O’Neal. He had a child with Yardbourgh and multiple children with Shaunie, and O’Neal regrets that he broke relationships with two perfect women.

“I had two perfect women and I messed it up,” O’Neal said. “My first one was my baby’s mother, Arnetta, and then I met Shaunie. Shaunie was also a perfect woman, and I messed it up.

“Yeah, you know, we were young and always just doing dumb stuff. But, the good thing about our relationship is that they forgave me, and we have a good relationship now. But when you ask me about the perfect woman — I had two perfect women and I messed it up, just by, you know, being dumb.”

O’Neal and Yardbourgh reportedly dated from 1992 to 1996, with their daughter, Taahirah, being born in 1996. He then started dating Shaunie in 1997, with their first son, Shareef, being born in 2000. They then welcomed their first daughter, Amirah, in 2001 and, in 2002, finally got married.

Two more children then followed, Shaqir in 2003 and Me’arah in 2006. Just a year later, O’Neal filed for divorce, but the couple reconciled. Then in 2009, Shaunie filed for divorce, and it was finalized in 2011.

O’Neal has been in various relationships post that split. Most recently it was reported that he was dating actress Annie Ilonzeh, but it is unclear whether the two are still in a relationship. The 51-year-old just hasn’t spoken much on the topic recently, so there is no way to know for sure what exactly is going on.

Shaquille O’Neal Claimed He Has Found The Perfect Woman

What we do know, is that he has found a special someone or something. On an earlier episode of this podcast, O’Neal hilariously revealed he has found the perfect woman, who will never leave him.

“I met the ultimate woman that will never leave you,” O’Neal said. “I’m in love with this woman and she never tells me no. Her name is Amazon. I get whatever I want off Amazon… Guess what? She don’t talk back… I’m on Amazon so much, my family told me to go to sleep at night.”

In normal circumstances, this woman would severely drain your bank balance if you weren’t too careful. In O’Neal’s case, though, he has made more than enough money over the years to care too much about that.
