When it comes to playing basketball, Shaquille O’Neal was a true beast. He is regarded as one of the most dominant players of all time and has a phenomenal resume to support that. O’Neal might have retired from the league over a decade ago, but he is still connected to the league.
He is currently an NBA analyst, and apart from that, he makes appearances on podcasts and interviews from time to time. On top of that, Shaq is a brilliant businessman as well. So it might seem like there is nothing the Los Angeles Lakers legend cannot do, but that’s not true.
Shaq revealed in a recent interview that he has quite literally never had a real job. As a result, he is unaware of how to do tasks that might seem pretty basic to others. One of them is filling out a resume for his son.

Shaquille O’Neal: I am grateful, because I realise that the position I am in, in life, is a lucky position. I never had a real job in my life. When I was trying to help my son fill out a resume, I had to call somebody … I couldn’t do it … I was embarrassed.
David Koch: You’ve never had a real job, but you’re almost as comfortable in business as you are on the basketball court … you’ve got an MBA.
Shaquille O’Neal: The reason why I did that is because I always like to be in charge, but I let other people speak for me, my agents … they think I’m just this dumb jock who has no inclination of what business is. It would just drive me crazy.
Usually, most people believe that NBA players aren’t good at anything outside of playing basketball. But that’s not true for all players. Shaq has always been pretty smart about making successful business decisions.
As a result, he has multiplied his net worth multiple times and is only adding more to it. Despite that, it is somewhat shocking that O’Neal cannot do the simple task of filling out a resume.
