Skip Bayless Slams LeBron James For Missing The Game Against The San Antonio Spurs: “Obviously Winning Is No Longer The Priority For LeBron This Season. He’s Focused On Winning The Scoring Title In Year 19, Then Passing Kareem In Year 20.”

LeBron James had a spectacular night against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, as he scored 56 points to help the Lakers break their 4-game losing streak. LeBron made history with his performance, becoming only the second player to have a 50-point game in 3 different decades alongside Michael Jordan.

Many fans felt LeBron’s performance set the Lakers up perfectly to capitalize on the momentum and get on a roll. But the performance took a toll on LeBron James, as he sat out the Lakers’ last game against the San Antonio Spurs due to knee soreness. And without James in the squad, the Lakers went right back to losing.

Skip Bayless chose to take aim at LeBron James rather than the Los Angeles Lakers. In what has become a habit, Bayless chastised James for missing the game and making the NBA scoring title and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring title over salvaging the season the Lakers are having.

Obviously winning is no longer the priority for LeBron this season. He's focused on winning the scoring title in YEAR 19, then passing Kareem in Year 20. He had pulled within a tenth of a point of league-leader Embiid before tonight – when Joel said, "Sorry, Bron" with 43.

Obviously winning is no longer the priority for LeBron this season. He’s focused on winning the scoring title in YEAR 19, then passing Kareem in Year 20. He had pulled within a tenth of a point of league-leader Embiid before tonight – when Joel said, “Sorry, Bron” with 43.

Bayless has regularly criticized LeBron James for trying to surpass Kareem’s scoring record. And whenever he gets the chance to point that out, Bayless does so regularly, whether it be on social media or on television. The constant criticism of LeBron James will not end till LeBron eventually calls time on his career.

As things stand, LeBron James is just 209 points away from surpassing Karl Malone to take the 2nd spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. LeBron does want to surpass Kareem, but to suggest that he wants to accomplish that at the cost of potentially winning an NBA championship is truly ridiculous.
