Skip Bayless Takes An Unnecessary Shot At LeBron James After Chris Paul Leads The Suns To A Win Over The Pelicans

3 Min Read

Ever since joining the Phoenix Suns, Chris Paul has proved his haters wrong at every step in his journey. Last season, by adding him to the roster, the Suns managed to reach the NBA Finals.

Although they lost at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, it was a great achievement to reach the NBA Finals. While a few called it a fluke, CP3 and the Suns proved them wrong by having the best record in the entire league in the 2021-22 NBA season.

Now, with the playoffs underway, fans have high expectations from Paul and the Suns. The franchise recently played its first postseason game of the year against the New Orleans Pelicans and won it comfortably.

It was none other than their veteran point guard CP3 who exploded for 30 points and 10 assists. Following the fantastic performance by Paul, fans were excited are already calling the Suns ‘Finals Bound’.

While most people are focused on praising CP3 and the Suns, there is someone who unnecessarily dragged Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ name after the Suns defeated the Pelicans.

It was none other than big-time LBJ hater Skip Bayless, who once again took a shot at the Lakers superstar on Twitter. Skip tweeted:

“Chris Paul, nearly 37, keeps playing younger and younger for the NBA’s best team. LeBron, 37, started showing his age as the Lakers missed the playoffs.”

It is true that the Lakers missed the playoffs, but honestly, should we blame LeBron for this underwhelming season? James was the most consistent player on the team and did everything in his power to help elevate the Purple & Gold.

He finished the season with 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game all while averaging 52.4% from the field. In the end, injuries and inconsistent performances from the rest of the roster played a huge role in the Lakers missing the playoffs this season.

But will Skip Bayless understand this? Knowing that he always calls out James, it seems like a far-stretched possibility.
