Space Jam 2 is not expected to premiere until July 2021 but we’ve gotten to know a little more details about the sequel of Michael Jordan’s movie, starring LeBron James and the Looney Tunes. In recent hours, the plot of the film hit the internet and it is fair to see it can be as much or crazier than its predecessor. Ben Meckler, who happens to be the writer and director of the movie, shared some details about the film with the fans.

“Space Jam: A New Legacy”, will be a sequel of the first movie, premiered in 1996 that featured the likes of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, the Looney Tunes and even Bill Murray. The plot of this new movie will see LeBron James losing his son in a world that contains the Looney Tunes characters as well as other stories and characters from the motion picture and television production Warner Bros.

“During a trip to the Warner Bros. studio, NBA Superstar LeBron James and his son accidentally get trapped within a world that contains all of Warner Bros.’ stories and characters, under the control of a malfunctioning, all-powerful force named Al G (played by Don Cheadle),” Mekler wrote.

“With the help of Bugs Bunny, LeBron must navigate through a never-before-imagined world filled with iconic movie scenes and characters as they re-assemble the Looney Tunes to rescue his lost son,” he added.

The movie shares some similarities with the original one, but this is an interesting idea, for sure. Space Jam 2 will release in July 2021, featuring big names in the basketball world such as LeBron’s Lakers teammate Anthony Davis and Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson.
