Stephen Curry Credits Haters For 62-Point Explosion vs. Blazers: “I Definitely Took Pride In Shutting That Up.”

Even though Stephen Curry is one of the coolest NBA players, he’s a fierce competitor. The Golden State Warriors superstar has dominated teams for over a decade, killing them with his shooting skills.

Curry is one of the best players this game has ever seen, yet he’s been disrespected his entire career. Last year, he had the not-so-easy job of carrying the Warriors to the playoff, and he was one win away from doing so.

Still, Curry put up career-high numbers while taking the Dubs to the play-in tournament. One of the season’s biggest games happened against the Portland Trail Blazers, where Curry went off and scored 62 points on Damian Lillard and co.

Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the point guard reflected on his 2020/21 season, saying that criticism fueled his competitiveness, which ended in him dropping 62 points on the Blazers at the turn of the year.

“I mean, there was a moment at the beginning of last year, before the Portland game and the 62 [points], that I heard a lot of noise and I heard a lot of talk about who I wasn’t and we were going to get exposed and I was going to get exposed and all that type of stuff. I definitely took pride in shutting all that up.”

Curry was great all season long. He posted even better numbers than his unanimous MVP season, showing his greatness once again.

The Chef will try to confirm that this season, where the Dubs will get Klay Thompson back after a two-year hiatus. The player is ready to carry this team to the promised land again, even though the job won’t be easy in a competitive Western Conference.

Perhaps this time, rival fans will be careful with their words, trying to keep Curry cool. Otherwise, he’ll probably take things personally.
