Stephen Curry, LeBron James, And Klay Thompson Have The Most Three-Pointers In NBA Playoff History

2 Min Read

Klay Thompson is often regarded as one of the best shooters in NBA history. While Stephen Curry is unanimously considered the best shooter of all time, many believe that Klay is right there with him. Klay has been away from the NBA for the longest time and since his return, he has picked up where he left off. And last night, he made history, reaching an important milestone in his career.

Klay Thompson surpassed Reggie Miller to take the third spot in the NBA’s all-time playoff three-pointers made list. Thompson now has 386 three-pointers made. He sits behind LeBron James with 432 three-pointers made, and Stephen Curry, who is the all-time leader in playoffs three-pointers made with 480 threes made. Given how young Klay Thompson is and the way the Warriors are playing, he could move up the list.

Thompson is one of the greatest shooters of all time and has been one of the most influential players in the league. While Curry is credited for the more three-pointer-oriented direction of the league, Thompson’s proficiency with the three-ball was just as important to other players in the league shooting more three-pointers.

If anything, Klay is considered a more lethal scorer than Stephen Curry, because of his ability to get hot. If Thompson gets a few shots going and can find his rhythm, there is no player who could terrorize opposition defenses and make incredibly tough shots better than Klay Thompson.

Thompson will be relied upon during this playoff series for the Golden State Warriors. With the rise of Jordan Poole, Thompson has effectively become the third option for the Golden State Warriors. NBA analyst Kevin O’Connor recently noted that the Golden State Warriors have the best offensive trio with Curry, Poole, and Thompson on the court, so they are the favorites to win the NBA championship.
