Stephen Curry is at the top of the basketball world right now. He won his 4th NBA title last season and put to bed all the talk of him being unable to lead a team to a championship. He won his first Finals MVP by tearing apart a Boston Celtics defense in the NBA Finals that had given his former teammate Kevin Durant fits in the first round and is now viewed by many as the best player in the world.
Shaquille O’Neal is one of those people, as he crowned Curry as the best the league has to offer last month, and the Warriors superstar is showing no signs of slowing down just yet. As he enters his 14th season in the league, Curry will be looking to win back-to-back titles for the second time in his career, and they do have a good chance at winning it all, as long as he’s around and playing at a high level.
Stephen Curry Opens Up On How Much Longer He’d Like To Play In The NBA
Nothing lasts forever, though, and a day will come when Curry has to walk away from the game. That day isn’t too far away either, as Steph is getting up there in age, having turned 34 earlier this year. During an interview with Rolling Stone, he spoke about how much longer he’d like to play in the league.
.@StephenCurry30 changed the game of basketball—now, can he help change America? The 4x NBA champion and 8x All-Star is Rolling Stone's October cover star.

Curry’s body doesn’t respond to heavy offseason workouts or his secret love of Chipotle like it used to. But he has four more years left on his $215 million contract, and Curry tells me he’d like to play “at least that.”
“The championships are just getting in the way,” he adds, picking a comb at a gray hair or three.
So, Warriors fans can rest easy at night knowing that Curry is going to be around till 2026 at the very least, which is when his contract expires. Barring unforeseen injuries, he should be able to play that long, and we certainly hope that the injury bug stays away from Steph after all the issues he had earlier on in his career.
During this interview, Curry also spoke about one of the biggest regrets of his NBA career, which was playing in a playoff game against the Clippers in 2014, after the whole Donald Sterling fiasco. He felt that not playing that game would have made a bigger statement than anything they could have said at the time, and it is something he agonizes over to this day.
