Steve Kerr Doesn’t Like The Los Angeles Lakers: “I Was A Laker Fan For Most Of My Childhood, And Now I Can’t Stand Them. So, Things Change.”

Steve Kerr is not the biggest fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and he let them know during a recent chat with reporters at Chase Center. Kerr cast his vote for the 2020 presidential election and then went to talk about sports, especially about the new World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers. Kerr revealed he was a Dodgers fan growing up, as well as a Lakers supporter, but now things are very different when he thinks about the purple and gold.

He is already taunting the Lakers with his comments and didn’t miss the chance to shade them when discussing the Dodgers and how content he was for seeing them winning a championship for the first time since 1988.

“That was a team (the Los Angeles Dodgers) I cheered for,” said Kerr. “That stuff sticks with you. It just stays in your blood. Although, I will say I was a Laker fan for most of my childhood, and now I can’t stand them. So, things change.”

He spent a big part of his life living in LA, but things changed when he made it to the NBA. He became a champion with the Chicago Bulls, having good moments during his days in Chicago, then went to the San Antonio Spurs, a team that had memorable battles with Los Angeles. One would imagine this was the time when he really started disliking the Lakers and now with the Warriors, competing against them, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading them, Kerr is surely not fond of the Los Angelenos team.

Meanwhile, he’s getting ready to bring the Warriors to the top of the league, although the competition will be extremely hard this season. The league changed last year and so did the Warriors, so Kerr knows the challenge they have in front of them is the biggest they’ll face probably since the first time they won the NBA title the last decade.
