Steve Kerr Reacts To LeBron James Saying He Wants To Play With Stephen Curry: “I Have No Thoughts On That. Trying To Get Me In Trouble, Aren’t You?”

LeBron James recently made headlines for picking Stephen Curry as the active player he’d like to share touches with. It’s well known that James loves Curry’s game and proof of that is that he’s drafted him almost every year since the All-Star Game changed its format.

“Steph Curry is the one I want to play with. … I love everything about that guy. When he get out his car, you better guard him right from the moment he pulls up to the arena.”

These comments were heard all over the NBA, and everybody had something to say about it. Curry replied to LeBron’s statement by saying that they’ve played together in the All-Star Game, so LeBron knew what it feels like to play with a talent like Steph.

“Well, he (LeBron James) got his wish. He’s picked me the last two All-Star Games. I don’t know if that suffices, but I’m good right now. I’m good right now.”

“Whenever you get the interest or curiosity of what it would be like to play with arguably the MVP-kind of caliber dude that he is, greatest of all-time, cool. That’s amazing. We all can live in that fantasy world “

Curry wasn’t the only one who reacted to LeBron’s comments; his head coach touched on that a little, too. While talking to reporters, Steve Kerr stated that he doesn’t have thoughts on that as he doesn’t want to say something that could cause him some issues.

“I have no thoughts on that. Trying to get me in trouble, aren’t you?”

Last season, a rumor started circling in the NBA talking about LeBron potentially joining Curry. It’s unclear if it’d happen in San Francisco or Los Angeles, but some people think James tried to recruit Curry during the 2021 All-Star Game

It’s highly unlikely that these two will ever play on the same team that is trying to win a championship, but as Curry said, people enjoy creating hypothetical scenarios in their heads and that won’t stop happening anytime soon.
