It’s pretty clear that Nikola Jokic is not your regular superstar. The Denver Nuggets big man isn’t as flashy as other players in the NBA, and he often doesn’t get the same attention as others.
Well, that doesn’t seem to be a problem for him, as he’s openly admitted being overlooked isn’t a problem. Jokic is a family man that just wants to play basketball and win games. He doesn’t pay attention to other things. Jokic lives in his own world and Jokic gave us a huge demonstration on Thursday night when he admitted he doesn’t know one of the most famous US female singers.
The Joker became the first player in NBA history to register 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 500 assists in a single season. During the Nuggets’ 122-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, the Serbian center made history, and everybody in attendance gave him a huge ovation.
Newly-acquired Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and his partner Ciara were at the arena last night and also gave Jokic a standing ovation.

Following the match, Jokic was inquired if he was a fan of Ciara, and his response shocked a lot of people.
“I feel bad. I don’t follow [her], I don’t know. I mean, I met them in the hallway, so I feel bad because it’s not my music. I don’t even listen to American music. I’m gonna listen, and I’m gonna let you guys know.”
Asked if he's a fan of Ciara, Nikola Jokic said:

Again, Nikola is not your regular NBA superstar. He doesn’t listen to the music you usually hear in an NBA team locker room, and instead prefers some Serbian tunes that get him going through the day. Last year, Austin Rivers reacted to his music, saying that his taste was certainly different.
Jokic left Serbia, but Serbia never left him. He’s happy to bring his culture to the US and the Nuggets have fully embraced that. He shared a moment with Wilson in the locker room and just like he’s leading the Nuggets to the postseason, everybody hopes Wilson can do the same with the Broncos in the next NFL season.
