Steve Kerr Says Draymond Green Will Be At His “Very Best” Next Season

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors weren’t in the best shape this past season — and they are not getting an invite to Orlando.

But if you expect the Warriors to be down for much longer, you’re likely in for quite a shock. With the return of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson imminent, the Dubs should be back to their contending ways in no time. As for Draymond Green, we should expect the best version of him we’ve ever seen — at least, according to Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

“He made it through, and he is getting a much-needed rest,” Kerr continued. “And I think we’re going to see the very best version of Draymond next year, whenever next season starts. I feel really good about where he’s going to be mentally and physically.”

The 2019-20 season was, arguably, one of the worst of Draymond’s career. In 43 games, he put up 8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists on an abysmal 38% shooting.

With extra time to heal and work on his game, he should be in store for a bounceback season. Plus, with all the pieces back in the lineup, he’ll be able to better perform his role as a defender and enforcer for the squad.

We’ll see soon enough how he looks when the Warriors finally take the court again next season.
