Point guard Damian Lillard wants to be moved from the Portland Trail Blazers, and he is clearly the most coveted star on the trade market. Though it was previously reported that he only wants to play for the Miami Heat, there are other teams that could now be in the fold.

A recent report from Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the Portland Trail Blazers have been unimpressed with the Miami Heat’s packages for Lillard, and perhaps that could lead to him getting moved to another team.

“Portland I’m told, is not impressed with what Miami has to offer him. While it is Damian Lillard’s preference to go to the Heat… Portland needs maximum value…”

It will be interesting to see whether the Miami Heat will find a way to land Damian Lillard. It was previously rumored that the Brooklyn Nets could help the Heat land Lillard by taking on Tyler Herro, and perhaps that will be a good option for the team.

Damian Lillard averaged 32.2 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 7.3 APG in the 2022-23 regular season. He is still a top-tier point guard and could be a difference-maker for the Miami Heat.

The Miami Heat Are Willing To Trade Anything Besides Jimmy Butler And Bam Adebayo To Acquire Damian Lillard

The Miami Heat will do anything to land Damian Lillard, and they will likely explore every avenue they have to try and get him. Previously, reports indicated that the team is willing to give up anything on their roster besides Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo to land Lillard.

“Take anyone you want besides Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler… The Heat are all-in on this. This is their moment.”

Though there are a lot of teams that will likely try to enter the Damian Lillard sweepstakes, it is clear that the Miami Heat have an edge in the situation. Them being Lillard’s preferred destination definitely helps, and hopefully, we see them figure things out with the Portland Trail Blazers in the future. However, this is definitely a situation that could end up dragging out for a while, and we’ll see if the Miami Heat have what it takes to land Lillard.
