Throughout the fixture, the game was never even close as the scoreline stood at 138-101 in favor of the Timberwolves. However, in one instance the Timberwolves were pretty frustrated due to an incident that took place on the field.
Yes, we are referring to when the Thunder’s mop crew hilariously got in the way of the Timberwolves.
Looking at the video, it doesn’t look intentional on the part of the Thunder’s mop crew. But at the end of the day, it cost Minnesota an easy layup at the end of a fast break sequence.
Fortunately for the Timberwolves, the game was already decided as they were leading with 99-83 at that point in the fixture. Even after that stoppage by the mop crew, the Timberwolves still went on scoring more and more points to seal the deal.
As for OKC, this defeat marked their third defeat out of the last 10 games. They have a record of 20-34 and sit in the 14th spot in the West. It goes without saying that the season is already over for the team.
With the season already over for them, they will hope to get a high pick in the upcoming draft. Maybe that will change the fortunes of the franchise and end this rebuilding phase that they definitely have entered right now.
