Tim Hardaway Sr. had no mercy on Karl-Anthony Towns, making it clear he's far away from being the best center in the NBA.

Patrick Beverley stirred the pot in recent hours after he claimed that Karl-Anthony Towns was the best big man in the NBA. This is completely outrageous, as KAT has mightily failed to meet expectations, making it to the playoffs only three times in his career, winning zero series in the process.

Tim Hardaway Sr. had something to say about this and took some jabs at Towns while reminding him that he hasn’t done anything in the league.

“You got four playoff wins in 12 tries, zero series wins. You go out there and you average 23 points, 11 rebounds per game, you’re playing well, he’s a good NBA player but he doesn’t make anybody better on his team, it’s all about him at times,” Hardaway said on The Carton Show.

“I think he needs to have a reality check and he needs to work on his game a little bit more and making his teammates better and having a better season. In Minnesota, they just talk too much, all of them. Anthony Edwards talks, Karl-Anthony Towns talks, some other players, they talk. They just need to shut up and go out there and play basketball. They just need to go out there to play and try to win games.”

Hardaway minced no words to describe Towns, who isn’t even on his top-5 NBA centers right now. Moreover, the Hall of Famer revealed the list of the best five centers in the NBA:

1. Nikola Jokic

2. Joel Embiid

3. Bam Adebayo

4. Brook Lopez

5. Domantas Sabonis

Moreover, Hardaway went off on Towns, reminding him that he still has a long way to go and he’s not even on the same level as the five players he mentioned.

“I’m sorry, buddy, you gotta be better than them. And he’s not better than them in my eyes. You don’t make your team better, you don’t get to the postseason and win in the postseason. You don’t make timely shots, you don’t make defensive plays…”

Hardaway didn’t stop there and said that compared to the other players, Towns isn’t reliable and whenever he steps on the court, nobody knows what he is going to do.

Karl-Anthony Towns Says He’ll Have Changed The Game Of Basketball When He Retires

Towns has boasted huge confidence during his career, first self-proclaiming the best big man shooter in NBA history, and then saying he will have changed the game of basketball when he retires.

He has a 4-12 record in the playoffs not winning more than two games in a postseason series in three appearances. The former No. 1 overall pick was expected to take the league by storm, but he’s struggled to even lead his team to consistent playoff appearances.

The Timberwolves haven’t been successful by any means and KAT has been called ‘soft’ more than once for his lack of success. Now he’s once again getting ahead of himself and making big takes, which haven’t sat well with anybody
