Ja Morant is still one of the biggest topics in the NBA at this moment, as everybody is waiting for the league to announce what they’re going to do with the controversial point guard.
While the rest of the league waits to see for how long he’s been suspended for his second gun scandal, others are offering destinations for the former No. 2 overall pick. Kendrick Perkins believes that the Miami Heat are the best destination for Morant after his tumultuous tenure in Memphis.
“I think that’s the culture and that’s the organization that he needs to go to,” Perkins said.
Perkins admitted that given the type of life you can find in Miami, it’s easy to doubt that this will be a good thing for Morant. However, he named Pat Riley as the reason why he would be under control if he lands at Kaseya Center.
“There’s nothing that goes on in that city of Miami without [Riley] knowing anything about it,” Perkins said. “When I look at that culture, and I look at what he could go and do for that organization and what the organization could do for him … I think Miami is the best fit for him. … I think it’s time for him to get out of Memphis.”

Ja has been involved in a series of controversies during the past year, and the Grizzlies don’t seem to be trying hard to keep Morant with the right mentality. The player starred in his second gun scandal a couple of weeks ago, and now the NBA is in charge of giving him the punishment they consider necessary.
As a former No. 2 overall pick, Ja’s off-court antics have hurt his chances to become a bigger player than he already is, and some believe he could be soon out of the league, and some have gone on to say he could lose his life in five years.
Kendrick Perkins Says Ja Morant Needs To Leave The Grizzlies For His Well-Being
This isn’t the first time Kendrick Perkins makes a claim like this. At the start of the month, the 2008 NBA champion said that Morant would be better off if he left the Grizzlies in the case a third gun scandal happened.
Everybody’s trying to help him right now, including Lil Wayne and Dwyane Wade, but nobody has received a response from the player.
The big man knows Morant can aspire to a lot more and he can be one of the faces of the league in the future. Things are about to get interesting for Morant and the Grizzlies when the NBA announces his suspension. It’ll be Ja’s responsibility to earn everybody’s trust back and show that he can be a role model for the people who look up to him.
