A game-winning buzzer-beater is one of the best play basketball fans can see, but it’s also one of the most demanding and hardest plays to make. Only a few people can drain that shot to end a game and give the W to their team.

We can find some interesting facts on this list. Starting from the fact that LeBron James’ 7 game-winning buzzer-beaters, five were in the playoffs. Bron leads in playoffs, with 5, Jordan has 3, Pierce has 2 while Kobe and Joe have 1.

Back in 1974, Barry Clemens came off the bench to play 2 minutes and scored the game-winning buzzer-beater.

The Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons have by far the most losses against buzzer-beaters at 39 each.

Elden Campbell owned the worst shooting percentage, as he once went 1/10 shooting but hit the game-winner.

When we talk about game-winning assists, there is one name that stands out the most: Paul Pierce.

The Boston Celtics legend not only made 7 game-winning buzzer-beaters but also has the most game-winning assists with 5 (to 5 different players).

• Pierce – 12 (7 made/5 assisted)

• Michael Jordan – 10 (9/1)

• Kobe Bryant – 8 (8/0)

• Vince Carter – 8 (5/3)

• LeBron James – 8 (7/1)

• Joe Johnson – 8 (8/0)

Curiously (or not), Kobe Bryant never assisted for a game-winning shot. Kobe would never pass up the game-winner.

We’ll certainly keep watching these type of plays, but it’s fair to say some of these records are safe right now.
