John Wall really stirred the pot recently with his participation in a podcast that is making the rounds around the league right now. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard has never been the most outspoken person, but he opened up on a variety of topics during this conversation, including a controversial moment he allegedly lived with a North Carolina player.

Before he went to Kentucky, Wall was followed by several colleges, and one specific visit helped him decide his future. Wall tells the story of how Tyler Hansbrough diminished him for being a recruit when he visit the University of North Carolina. That was it for Wall, who decided to join Kentucky.

“I go in to visit Ty Lawson and them,” Wall said. “Tyler Hansbrough got his own section of him and the homeboys. I’m the recruit. I walk up and say, ‘What’s up?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t talk to recruits.’ I’m like, ‘F- you. I ain’t coming here.’ That f–d it up right there.'”

This is something terrible to say, even if you are trying to draw a line with rookies, but not everybody believed this story, and the person involved in it has called out Wall for the same.

Tyler Hansbrough Sends Big Response To John Wall’s Recruiting Story

Hansbrough obviously didn’t appreciate this story from Wall and took to social media to call him out and deny everything he said, while also adding a plot twist, implying that John Calipari’s money might have been responsible for Wall’s landing in Kentucky.

The story @JohnWall told on @tpinsonn podcast DID NOT HAPPEN! 100% FALSE! I’m sure the bank of Calipari had nothing to do with him going to Kentucky.

This is a bold claim, especially knowing how strict NCAA rules were about players receiving money that could influence the decision they’d make regarding their decisions. Wall maintains that it was this hateful situation that led him to join Kentucky, but Hansbrough thinks differently.

Wall really hit some nerves with this interview, where he also discussed how James Harden treated him upon his arrival in Houston, and how the Washington Wizards betrayed him to trade for Russell Westbrook. Meanwhile, he’s trying to win with the Los Angeles Clippers, but Wall is now a recurrent topic in the league thanks to his off-court actions.
