Udonis Haslem Claps Back At Draymond Green Saying Warriors Will Face Celtics In The NBA Finals: “Draymond Broke The Code.”

The Eastern Conference Finals have been just as interesting as the Western Conference Finals were a wash, with a Game 7 set to be played on Sunday following the Miami Heat’s Game 6 victory. With many expecting the Boston Celtics to finish the series at home after winning Game 5, Jimmy Butler produced a performance for the ages to keep his team’s season and chances of a championship alive.

The Heat proved several people wrong, including none other than a star that they will see a lot of if they can finish off the Celtics in Game 7. Draymond Green said after the Warriors clinched their Finals berth that they would face the Celtics in the Finals, and it seems like those on the Miami roster took Draymond’s words to heart.

Udonis Haslem, a longtime veteran and a pillar of the culture the Heat have built, called Draymond out for his comments on Yahoo Sports after Miami sealed the Game 6 win:

“Draymond broke the code,” Haslem told Yahoo Sports after the Heat’s 111-103 victory. “You ain’t supposed to say some s*** like that. That’s disrespectful. He know better than that.”

“He let Shaq peer pressure him into saying some s*** he ain’t got no business saying,” Haslem told Yahoo Sports. “I didn’t sleep much after he said that. That was some bulls***.”

The ‘broke the code’ line has become a common phrase in the playoff lexicon this season thanks to none other than Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who used the line to admonish Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies after his hard foul on Gary Payton II.

This Heat team is extremely competitive, so it’s no surprise that they have chosen to clap back before completing the comeback themselves. Boston has already won a Game 7 this season, although that was at home. One thing is for sure though, if Miami does make it through, they’ll be itching to settle things with Draymond Green on the court.
