D’Angelo Russell and Zaire Wade lit up China with a blitzkrieg of buckets during their Li-Ning tour.
In a clip doing the rounds on social media, the Los Angeles Lakers point guard was seen having fun playing ball and getting the better of his opponents. Also spotted having a good time was Zaire as they launched shots that swished in effortlessly.
Russell was even seen dancing after making shots to send the crowd into a tizzy. The duo were knocking down shots from downtown and imposing their will against smaller defenders in the paint.

From a sneaker standpoint, Russell joined Li-Ning in 2019 after his contract with Nike expired. Prior to inking a deal with the Chinese sporting giant, the guard wore Puma and Adidas shoes.
This offseason has been an interesting one for Russell. While many felt he would be let go by the Lakers, the move was different as LA managed to retain his services getting him for a two-year, $37 million contract.

This offseason saw the Los Angeles Lakers bring back a major part of their young core comprising of D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura.
With Russell set to extend his stay with LA, the team now has a reliable third shooting option after LeBron James and Anthony Davis. But as far as his services go, his former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Patrick Beverley said the guard deserved better.

In his 26 games with the Purple and Gold, Russell made an immediate splash calling the shots on the offense, while also contributing heavily on the scoring front.
He averaged 17.4 points and 6.1 assists in the regular season, and while his production drastically declined in the postseason, his immense contributions in the regular season have the team’s faith in him.
Only time will tell if Russell can manage to maintain the same level of consistency he brought to the fore in the regular season.
