Draymond Green was recently called out by fans and the media for his dirty play on Domantas Sabonis in Game 2.

Following that, Green was suspended for Game 3 of the series. In his return, it seems like Green is getting some lenient treatment from the referees. It was evident after watching a sequence in Game 4 when Dray got away with three potential fouls.

“In one sequence, Draymond fouls Barnes (no call), taunts Domas (no tech), and commits a moving screen (no call). Terrible officiating.”

Game 4 between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings finished at 126-125 in favor of the defending champions. Had the referees called a foul on Green in this sequence, it could have tilted the game in the Kings’ favor.

After all, Stephen Curry almost gave the game away by committing a terrible mistake during the fourth quarter when he called for a timeout despite the Warriors having none. Had the refs called a foul on Green, it could have changed the outcome of the crucial Game 4 between the two sides.

Draymond Green Came Off The Bench In Game 4 After Serving His Suspension

In Draymond Green’s absence, the Warriors registered a comfortable 114-97 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Keeping that in mind, Green explained the reason behind coming off the bench for Game 4. He simply didn’t want to disrupt the chemistry of the team by shaking things up and getting back into the starting lineup.

“We won. So, I’m a firm believer in ‘if something isn’t broke, you don’t fix it,’” said Green. “I didn’t want to come back and just shake things up because I’m back. There’s a lot of guys who, you know, 11 years in, you start to feel a sense of entitlement… I never want to reach that point in my career, where I feel entitled to something. Those guys don’t fare well in the end.”

Green has plenty of experience under his belt, and he has fulfilled the role of a leader for the Warriors for several years now.

A part of being the leader of the team is to take a backseat when required. Green did just that in Game 4, and it resulted in another victory for the Dubs.
