Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a comfortable 117-111 victory over the Washington Wizards following a triple-double performance.

The Greek Freak recorded 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists to get his fourth triple-double of the 2022-23 NBA season. Speaking of his performance against the Wizards, Giannis was short of just a single rebound in the final seconds of the game to get his triple-double. Instead of just letting go of that opportunity, Giannis found a hilarious solution for it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is known for his hilarious shenanigans. Be it on or off the court. Giannis deliberately missing a shot to get a rebound is certainly one of those shenanigans that fans love to see from the Milwaukee Bucks superstar.

But at the same time, it can also be looked at as stat-padding. Considering the heat that Nikola Jokic has recently caught fire for “stat-padding,” fans may flame Giannis for the same as well.

Giannis Antetokounmpo And The Milwaukee Bucks Are The Favorites To Win The Eastern Conference

Sure, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s way of getting a rebound against the Wizards to complete his triple-double was wrong. He may even get called out by the NBA community for it.

But we cannot let this once hiccup take away all the appreciation that Giannis deserves for his performances throughout the 2022-23 NBA season. The Milwaukee Bucks are currently 46-18 and hold the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

The majority of the credit for it goes to Giannis, who has averaged a stunning 31.2 PPG, 11.9 RPG, and 5.5 APG so far this season. If the Bucks continue playing at this level, Giannis should get some love for the MVP award.

NBA analyst Brian Windhorst explained in detail why Giannis deserves to be in the MVP conversation. Because as of now, Nikola Jokic is on track to win the third consecutive MVP award of his career.
