Speaking of the matchup, Luka and the Mavericks were outplayed by the Suns as they registered a 130-126 win. Prior to Kevin Durant giving the Suns the lead in the game, Luka Doncic had a chance to tie things up by making a 3-footer. Doncic surprisingly missed the easy shot, and it was certainly shocking. So much so that the Mavericks’ superstar got called out by one of his friends after the game.

Following the defeat, the Dallas Mavericks have now fallen to a 33-32 record. They are now just one game above .500 and have lost six out of their last eight games.
Moreover, they are 4-6 since adding Kyrie Irving to the team. Things are certainly not going well for the Mavericks right now and they need to figure them out prior to falling further down in the Western Conference table.
Luka Doncic And Devin Booker Had A Heated Exchange
Luka Doncic’s missed layup had a huge impact on the final outcome of the game. Evidently, he was frustrated with himself after losing the chance to tie things up in the fourth quarter.
After the late miss, Doncic got into a heated altercation with none other than Devin Booker. The two players came close to having a physical battle, but the situation was handled when other players intervened.
Booker apparently called out Doncic for the miss and it laid the foundation for the heated argument.
Although Booker and the Suns may have won the game, Doncic certainly won the argument by giving a savage response after the game.
“It’s a competitive game,” Doncic said. “It’s all good. Next time, just don’t wait until there are three seconds left to talk.”
It is obvious that Doncic and Booker hate each other. They have certainly become fierce rivals and fans will always circle the date on the calendar whenever they face off against each other in the future.
