Kevin Durant is one of the most meticulous basketball players to ever play the game. He has achieved such a reputation by being a workaholic who is known to push himself in workouts to make himself the player he is today. There is a reason not all tall players are amazing shooters, but KD is an exception to the norm because of his dedication to practicing his shot and being a lethal scorer.

Right now, nobody knows where KD will be playing next season. It looks increasingly likely that it will be the Brooklyn Nets, but teams will continue to try to get the Nets to trade KD to them.

If KD has to play for Brooklyn, he may just do it contingent on them getting him a deal by the trade deadline or next season. He still is a basketball player and needs to get ready for the season and get back in the gym. According to KD’s ETCs podcast co-host Eddie Gonzalez, Durant is already out in the gym and practicing his craft.

Durant is a basketball fanatic whether he is playing the game or following it from the sidelines. KD getting back into the gym isn’t related to the Nets, it’s simply related to the fact that he loves playing this game.

The Nets’ forward is entering Year 16 of his career next season and has bounced back from an Achilles injury like we haven’t seen many players his age before. Durant’s incredible shooting ability lets him manipulate the game to his advantage, so he needs to keep his instrument sharp and conduct shooting drills in the summer.

The KD trade scenario is extremely interesting still, but has a long time to go before it resolves itself. In the meantime, KD is going to focus on hooping and hoping that he isn’t wearing a black and white Nets jersey next season.
