Stephen Curry had no dearth of fans at the Alamodome, and the Golden State Warriors superstar took some time out to interact with the fans after the team posted a dominant 144-113 win against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
The game at the Arena shattered the NBA record for the highest attendance for a contest with 68,323 fans turning out to witness some scintillating basketball action, and some special activities as part of the Spurs’ 50th Anniversary celebrations.
It was a clinical performance by the Warriors, and while Curry may have had just 15 points that evening, he made sure the fans got their money’s worth when he spent some time interacting with the signing autographs. It was a special moment for the sharpshooter as well. It’s not every day he walks out to entertain a packed venue.
One of the instances saw him autograph merchandise and interact with young fans wearing a custom Warriors Blazer with his number 30 printed all over it. Curry was particularly interested as he asked the fans about the outfit with a wide smile on his face.

At the end of the day, the event at the Alamodome mattered more than the game. The Spurs, safe to say, are well out of playoff contention, but on an electric Friday evening, the outcome wasn’t particularly important. San Antonio celebrated their run as a franchise and Curry was one of the attractions although he wasn’t a Spur.
Stephen Curry Was The One The Fans Wanted To See At The Alamodome
While it was the celebration for the Spurs, a majority of the fans were at the Alamodome to witness Curry playing, and on his part, the star acknowledged the cheers and the praise coming his way as he took the floor.
Per NBC Sports Bay Area, Curry received the loudest welcome even as the rest of the Warriors were booed, something he poked fun at later.
“It takes (over) 64,000 to bring our best road performance of the year”
It was indeed their best performance after coming off three consecutive losses. Curry played his second game after returning from the shoulder injury he sustained in December.
The Warriors play the Chicago Bulls next, followed by a skirmish against the Washington Wizards.
