  • Victor Wembanyama dyed his ultra-short hair
  • The French phenom has been putting in the yards in the offseason
  • All eyes will be on Wemby in the 2023-24 season

Victor Wembanyama has hit it off with his San Antonio Spurs teammates on the right note, especially Jeremy Sochan.

After rocking a Tim Duncan-like hairstyle a few weeks ago, the 2023 NBA Draft’s No. 1 pick has now dyed his hair and topped it up with a dash of purple just like Sochan, and the latter took to social media to show off the rookie’s new look.

This comes on the back of Wembanyama saying he wanted to disappear from the spotlight. Well, this puts him back right in it. And now, he and Sochan will surely garner new nicknames for their act.

Wembanyama was first seen in action during the NBA 2K24’s Summer League. He was shut down after two games but gave the world a glimpse of his abilities and what he brings to the table for the Spurs in the 2023-24 season,

Back to the dyed hair, we certainly love Wemby’s new look, but then one can never forget that the dyed look OG was and will forever be Dennis Rodman, who co-incidentally played for San Antonio.

NBA Fans React To Victor Wembanyama’s New Look

NBA fans had their two cents on Victor Wembanyama’s new look and the responses were mixed.

While one segment loved the look, some just felt he should be paying attention to the court. The trolls weren’t far away either.

This fan didn’t believe it one bit: “Ain’t no way.”

Spurs fans were just optimistic.

One fan predicted a 20-62 season.

This fan had a one-word response.

Some felt the Wemby aura just vanished.

The fashion statement aside, all eyes will be on Wembanyama when the season begins. While he has shown that he can be one of those skilled players in the league, the NBA can be cruel, and reality checks come in faster than expected.

With Gregg Popovich, the general consensus is that Wembanyama can evolve to live up to the generational superstar tag, and only time will tell if he can indeed be one.
