Stephen Curry is made for the stage of the NBA Playoffs. He wouldn’t have been a three-time champion if he didn’t know he needs to elevate his play in the post-season. While he has had phenomenal teammates as well, Curry has been an electric scorer in the playoffs throughout his career.
Curry has never averaged below 23 points in the playoffs and has played over 100 games in his multiple trips to the Finals. He has a career average of 26.5 points and just knocked off another major milestone during the Warriors’ Game 2 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Curry came off the bench and scored 34 points in the win, helping him reach 3000 points scored in the playoffs for his entire career. There are 25 other players who have achieved this feat, but all of them are all-time NBA greats and former champions like Curry. Steph can climb multiple spots on this list during this post-season itself.

Curry ended the game with an all-time tally of 3018 points scored throughout his post-season career. Considering Curry has a lot more basketball to play this year and will look to continue making appearances in the playoffs, his scoring tally is bound to balloon before he retires.
Warriors fans were overjoyed to see the greatest player in their franchise history earn this new accomplishment, especially as it came during a magnificent victory over the Nuggets.

Out of active players, Curry has the third-most points scored in the playoffs behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant. It’s crazy that Curry just got to 3000 points while LeBron could reach 8000 playoff points if he makes it to the post-season next time. Durant will cross 4500 points within the next few games.
Curry has been the ideal teammate and leader for the Warriors through one of the most prosperous times in their franchise’s history. He could have scored a lot more, and probably will through this post-season and the ones he gets to in the future.
