Kobe Bryant was one of the most popular players in the NBA. Bryant was such a phenomenal player that he instantly became a favorite of many NBA fans. Playing for the Lakers, arguably the most popular franchise in NBA history, Bryant established himself as a superstar, thus garnering massive fanfare. 

With superstardom, a large fanbase is expected. But Kobe Bryant made time for one special fan in 2007 when he met a young fan who was going through chemotherapy for Leukemia.

Bryant coached him, helping him improve his jump shot while giving him positive affirmation. After that, Kobe and the young fan played a game of HORSE. It was surely an experience the fan would never forget.

Oftentimes, players will meet young fans and give them a signed shirt, which is a kind gesture. But Kobe Bryant went out of his way to make this young fan’s day and give him a memory that he would never forget. It was a truly wholesome experience.
