Zach LaVine Says He Wants To Stay In Chicago: “I Haven’t Had Anything Of Wanting To Leave.”

2 Min Read

In his 4+ seasons with the Chicago Bulls, Zach LaVine hasn’t seen much success. Seemingly stuck in a perpetual rebuild, the Bulls haven’t quite figured out how to become a true force in the East.

Still, their main star, Zach LaVine, has no plans on leaving, and is about as committed as they come. Speaking to the media after the arrival of his new teammate (Nikola Vucevic), he announced his desire to stay with the legendary franchise.

“I want to stay in Chicago. I haven’t had anything of wanting to leave. When that time comes, obviously I’ll try to do the best I can to stay here,” LaVine said. “Adding someone like [Vucevic] and being more attractive in the free-agent market to bring more players here is always a bonus for any player.”

Coming off his first All-Star appearance, LaVine has emerged as the face of the Bulls, and can be a guy that can lead the team to success going forward.

But if the Bulls ever want to join the ranks of true contenders, they’re going to have to surround their guy with some solid complementary pieces. And yes, Vucevic is a great place to start.

No matter what happens this season, though, fans can rest easy knowing Zach will be their guy for years to come.
